Epstein, Louis M.
(1887-1949)
   American Conservative rabbi. He was born in Lithuania and emigrated to the US in 1904. He was appointed rabbi of Kehilath Israel in Brookline, Massachusetts, in 1925. He served as president of the Rabbinical Assembly and chairman of its committee on Jewish law. His writings include The Jewish Marriage Contract, Marriage Laws in the Bible and Talmud and Sex Laws and Customs in Judaism.
